Andrew W. Stavros - Founder
When not spending late nights or early mornings at his office or in court fighting tirelessly on behalf of his clients, Mr. Stavros enjoys spending time with his family, and his dog, Astro. Mr. Stavros uses every opportunity he can to enjoy Utah's great outdoor environment, spending time in Utah's mountains, national parks and scenic areas. He is also active in this community, sitting on Boards, volunteering with local community organizations and even coaching baseball.
As a lawyer, Mr. Stavros has extensive experience with business and employment matters. Mr. Stavros's employment law experience includes discrimination and harassment, wage and hour, state and federal leave, privacy and confidentiality, wrongful termination, whistleblower, retaliation, labor-management relations, breach of contract, fiduciary duty and related claims. Mr. Stavros appears frequently in state and federal court, before administrative bodies and in arbitration and mediations of employment matters for both employers and employees. Mr. Stavros has successfully tried a number of jury cases in Utah, as well as bench trials, arbitrations and mediations.
Mr. Stavros's business law and commercial litigation experience includes assisting small and growing businesses with every day legal matters, including entity formation, joint ventures, acquisitions, contracting, licensing, commercial disputes, complex commercial litigation, breach of contract, partnership and closely-held business disputes, false advertising, fraud and misrepresentation cases, unfair competition, non-compete, non-disclosure and non-circumvention matters, mechanic's liens, warranties and many other business-related issues.
Mr. Stavros is a member of numerous state and federal organizations, including the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Utah State Bar. He is a graduate of the S. J. Quinney College of Law, University of Utah. While there, he was a William H. Leary Scholar, Traynor Moot Court Champion and Region XI National Moot Court Champion. Before founding Stavros Law, Mr. Stavros was a co-founder of a another firm in Salt Lake City, Utah and an associate with a large Salt Lake City, Utah based law firm.
Mr. Stavros is a frequent speaker and lecturer on all aspects of business and employment law.
